Memory and Aging Program™

About Memory and Aging

There are a variety of changes that occur in the brain as we age. These changes can make it harder to use our thinking skills, including our memory. It is common to experience memory mistakes as we get older, including misplacing things, forgetting future intentions, retrieving specific words, and recalling names. While some types of memory decline with age, other types remain stable or even show improvement. Understanding these changes and learning ways to support our memory can help us use our abilities more efficiently and better manage the challenges that we might experience as part of the normal aging process.
